REPORT : New team gets involved in the Claude Giroux saga

In the last 48 hours, we got a LOT of informations regarding Claude Giroux's future with the Flyers. Even though the forward said that there were no talks between him and GM Chuck Fletcher about a trade, his agent have been given permission to talk to other teams directly. He'll create a short list and it will be sent to Fletcher after.
We already knew that there were some rubbling with some Western Conference teams, including the Colorado Avalanche. The St. Louis Blues and the Minnesota Wild are also in the Giroux sweepstake according to some reports.
There wasn't a lot of Eastern Conference teams that were mentionned, but it changed lately. Two days ago, Elliotte Friedmann said that the Florida Panthers were indeed a team to watch. Yesterday, on TJMS, the Sportsnet insider added that the Hurricanes seems also to be in the contest to acquire Giroux.
The question is: will Giroux accept to be traded to a division rival? I'm not so sure. The three Western Conference teams seem a better options to me for the moment.
