After a reasonably good start, the Flyers have dropped five straight games. They now stand at 7-7-3 for the new 2022-23 season.

Injuries have decimated the roster and it may be time to look for some help. They have lost players like Sean Couturier, Ryan Ellis for extended periods of time. Throw in James van Riemsdyk and Cam Atkinson and they are really short on the forward lines.
Enter Nick Ritchie.
The Coyotes are still in a rebuild, even if they have performed above expectations so far this season. They only have 13 points and reside in the cellar of the Central Division as of this writing.

GM Bill Armstrong has made it known he will make deals if he receives prospects and/or draft picks.
The Coyote picked up Ritchie from the Toronto Maple Leafs in February for Ryan Dzingel and Ilya Lyubushkin. He has performed extraordinarily well for the Desert Dogs with 16 goals, seven assists in 41 games.
He's big at 6'-2", 230 pounds and has 108 hits since going to Arizona. He certainly fits the mold of player that the Flyers like on their roster.
GM Chuck Fletcher needs to address his team's downfall and injuries and adding a player like Ritchie will do exactly that. If he hasn't already given Armstrong a call, he should.
The return can be worked out, as the Flyers have some prospects who could interest Armstrong.
Isaac Ratcliffe is a huge 6'-6", 225 pound forward playing in the AHL for the Flyers. If Armstrong wants to continue his format of having some players with size, the 23-year-old Ratcliffe could be of interest.
It's reasonable to assume that if Ritchie becomes a Flyer that he will have as much or more success in Philadelphia as he has had in Arizona. He just needed some ice time, and he would certainly get plenty of that with the Flyers injury woes.
