The Philadelphia Flyers recently announced that forward Keifer Bellows had been placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the Leigh Valley Phantoms, many thought this was going to be apart of something much bigger.
Something much bigger being the possible return of an injured Flyers forward by the name of Cam Atkinson, who the team and fan base have gotten zero update on his health in weeks, maybe months. For some odd reason they are keeping his injury very private, which is not a good sign, they have even refused to answer questions at times.
Sadly, the Flyers sending down forward Kiefer Bellows is not tied with Cam Atkinson returning, but rather a new face in the lineup that has been absolutely tearing it up for the Leigh Valley Phantoms, forward Olle Lycksell.
Lycksell is a 23-year old Swedish forward that was drafted by the Flyers in 2017, and has now turned himself into a pro player, racking up 34 points in 34 games this season for the Phantoms- the majority of those points being assists, with 27 on the year.
The Flyers announce they called up Olle Lycksell to play in the spot opened by placing Kieffer Bellows on waivers.
