REPORT: Winnipeg Jets decision for their head coaching vacancy will have a big influence on the Philadelphia Flyers

Like the Flyers, the Jets are actively looking for a new head coach.
Paul Maurice was the head coach for 9 seasons, but a new era is set to begin when they'll name the new leader behind the bench. However, their decision will have a big influence on the Flyers' one, and vice versa, according to Kevin Weekes.
"Although the @NHL Coaching Carousel 🎠 remains fluid with oversupply of candidates vs vacancies ; there might be some connection between the decision of who the @NHLJets & @NHLFlyers hire for their HC," wrote Weekes on Twitter.
The Jets have been linked to Barry Trotz for a long time now. If he signs with the Jets, there will be no doubts anymore that the Flyers will hire John Tortorella.
