Today, the Edmonton Oilers placed Jack Campbell on waivers, ending the Jack Campbell experiment.

Before his current and soon-to-be reassignment to the AHL, he had been signed less than 18 months earlier. Despite his above average performance in Toronto, Campbell hasn't been able to figure it out in Edmonton.
The goalie has posted an .886 save percentage and 3.53 goals against average during his time in Edmonton, which is well below replacement levels and considering his expensive cap hit of $5 Million AAV, the Oilers have had enough.
A rebuilding team could find an interesting trade partner in Campbell, who recently went on waivers. The Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers have discussed the troubled tendy, according to NHL Insider Anthony DiMarco. Could they inquire on Carter Hart and send Campbell to Philly?
Must read on FlyersInsider
PHI has been willing to listen o Hart and have made it known they're willing to take on unideal contracts (Campbell?) for the right price.

Is there a fit with EDM
There is a possibility of moving Jack Campbell's high cap-hit in exchange for Carter Hart, obviously at a high price.
Will the Edmonton Oilers be willing to pay the price for Carter Hart, instead of losing Connor McDavid, considering the price for Carter Hart would be a significant one?
