Once the World Junior Hockey Championships come to a close in January, Shane Wright will not be making his way back to the Kraken locker room. He will, however, be joining his juniors team in the OHL, the Kingston Frontenacs.

As you can see, this tweet mentions that the only question is where Shane Wright will be traded to in the OHL. Well, that is because the Frontenacs are in full rebuild mode and are in no shape to compete this season.
With Shane Wright being on the trade block, he will be one of the highest value trade targets in OHL history. His trade value can be comparable to that of Patrick Kane in the NHL for this year's trade deadline.

Wright will most likely find his way back up to the NHL next season, but he just didn't get the job done this year.
He struggled in the preseason and the early part of the regular season before getting sent back down to the AHL. He did well in the AHL, but then struggled again when called back up.
Hopefully he gets his groove together in juniors this year, because he has proven why the Canadiens were right to pass up on him at #1 overall.
