London Police Update On The Tragic Death Of A London Knights Hockey Player

The hockey world was hit hard in the gut today when we learned that a 18 year-old hockey player from the London Knights was found dead this morning in downtown London Ontario.
The player's name was Abakar Kazbekov. The Knights selected Kazbekov in the 1st round of the 2021 import draft. Kazbekov was from Russia and was a highly touted young prospect.
Details were scarce but we have learned that Kazbekov was found dead outside the Azure Luxury Condominiums located on the corner of Dufferin Avenue and Talbot street in downtown London.
After a police investigation foul play has been ruled out and appears Kazbekov's death appears to be suicide.
