As reported by Brandon J. Sommermann on Twitter, the conversations between the Flyers and forward Owen Tippett are minimal and a contract extension does not seem on the horizon any time soon.
"A few teams have been in contact with Tippett about a potential offer sheet. Tippett is PHI most important RFA remaining but not being treated like it."
Owen Tippett joined the Flyers a few days prior to last season's NHL Trade deadline. The 23-year-old and former first round pick was packaged with a 2023 3rd and 2024 1st round selection for Claude Giroux plus assets.
In his 21 games with Philly last year, Tippett had 4 goals and 3 assists.
With both Isaac Ratcliffe's and Morgan Frost's deals done, the attention now turns to Tippett.
