Ryan Reynolds, the acclaimed actor of many great movies over the years has made the news recently of wanting to purchase the Ottawa Senators. Tonight, he has confirmed that he has intentions to purchase the team on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The Senators have had a sad and busy 2022 with the passing of their owner Eugene Melnyk.
General manager Pierre Dorion was quite busy in locking up their core of young players to give the team a brighter future and certainly one that could be enticing to purchase having all those key players contracts taken care of.

The team is also looking into plans of moving the franchise into the city's downtown core rather than being out in the western side of Ottawa in the small town of Kanata.
According to Reynolds, who was born in Vancouver British Columbia, also grew up in Vanier a suburb of the city of Ottawa, is looking to form a consortium or a purchasing partner to acquire the team.
Wouldn't it be cool to see Deadpool as the new mascot.
Just kidding
