SKA top line embarrassed, proving Michkov haters wrong.

After Bedard was selected by the Anaheim Ducks, most players were chosen where they were expected to be. The Flyers chose Matvei Michkov at the number seven spot and have had no regrets doing so. Many Flyers fans were thrilled with this choice, as it gives the Flyers another weapon on their offence.

However, some were not pleased with this choice, along with some pundits in the NHL. The current state of the Russian government at war with Ukraine, along with reports of issues with his coach, has made people question whether they made the right choice.

Recently, SKA St. Petersburg played a game where the top line was completely embarrassed by the opposition and conceded goals. Michkov was nowhere to be seen because the coaching staff did not play him in that game.

Watching the clip showed how poor their defence was on that top line, and no one could blame Michkov for anything like this, as he wasn't even on the ice. It's safe to say that the Flyers chose who they believed was right, and only time will tell whether it will work out or not.
