Fans of vintage hockey like the hard hits, hard hitting bloody fights, and other highlights, but nobody enjoys watching a teammate fall victim to an injury.

Sadly, this occurred on Friday night during a game ofthe Wilkes-Barre Scarnton Penguins, thePittsburgh Penguins' AHL affiliate. A Pittsburgh Penguins prospect named Filip Hallander was involved in a terrifying collision with a member of the other team with just a few minutes remaining in the third period, which resulted in Hallander landing on his head and being stretchered off of the ice.
It was a quiet moment in the arena when Hallander was down, thankfully medical staff quickly came to Hallander's needs, while the players were taking a knee, left shocked.

The injuries and Hallander's condition were much more significant than the 1 minute and 12 seconds that were remained in the game, therefore the league opted to call it off.
