Serious Speculation Evolves as to Why John Tortorella Hasn't Coached For 2 Games This Season
With John Tortorella's first year in the books and new leadership taking over in Danny Briere, the trajectory of the Philadelphia Flyers organization looks different.
In a pivot from Chuck Fletcher's inability to even make an offer to
Johnny Gaudreau, it looks like instead of stabilization, Brier is going full rebuild.
It's been known that John Tortorella has had a lousy first season as Head Coach, and has spent some time in the press box with Danny Briere for two games. Doing something unheard of, scratching himself!

But as it turns out, this may have had a purpose as he gave the reins to Brad Shaw and Rocky Thompson.
There's speculation that Tortorella's next stop is the front office as President of Hockey Ops.
If so, would Thomspon or Shaw end up taking Tortorella's spot behind the bench?
There's nothing confirmed, but it is interesting to think about as Briere puts his will into motion. If it is to be true, think of all the dump and chase to be lost on the ice, along with Tortorella's weekly soundbite, will be lost!
But seriously, we want Briere to be successful and maybe this is the first step to something substantial.
