According to Charlie O'Connor of The Athletic, Nicolas Deslauriers of the Philadelphia Flyers did not participate in today's optional practice. Deslauriers, who is listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury, did not play in the Flyers' 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Wild last night. Although Deslauriers was supposed to be re-evaluated today, it is still unknown whether he will be available to play against the Detroit Red Wings tomorrow evening.

Deslauriers, who is 32 years old, has recorded five goals and six assists in 70 games this season while averaging just over ten minutes of ice time per game on the fourth line. His signing last summer was considered a puzzling move by many, as the Flyers gave him a four-year contract with a modified no-trade clause despite his history of poor performance and frequent injuries.
Meanwhile, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia has reported that Owen Tippett was absent from Flyers practice today due to a recent injury. Tippett, who has been a key player for the Flyers this season, left practice earlier in the week with a minor injury. Although coach John Tortorella has indicated that the injury is not serious, Tippett's status for future games remains uncertain.
On a more positive note, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer has confirmed that both Sean Couturier and Travis Konecny were present at Flyers practice today and were wearing regular contact jerseys. Couturier, who has been out of action for over a year due to back surgeries, has been making slow but steady progress towards a possible return. Although it remains to be seen whether he will play in any games this season, his presence at practice is an encouraging sign. Konecny, who has been out of action since suffering an upper body injury in late February, has been having an excellent season and is expected to return to the lineup soon. If he does, he could potentially achieve a career-high of 30 goals this season.
