On February 20, 2020, the unthinkable happened. Nathan Gerbe, who is listed as 5-foot-4, laid a big hit on a Flyers player.
Travis Sanheim, of the Flyers, did not like what he saw and went to take measures into his own hands. Well, Gerbe was not about to back down.

There was just about a foot difference in height between the two, but it was Gerbe who performed the takedown and got one punch in before the refs could break it up.
Shout out to Gerbe for refusing to play down to his size. Hockey is a sport for tough people, and Gerbe lived up to it that night.
It stinks that a Flyer was a part of hockey history in this fashion, but maybe Sanheim is bragging about it to this day.
