Last week, former NHL legend and Hall of Fame member, Borje Salming, was cleared to travel to Toronto to partake in the Hall of Fame festivities.
Why is this news? Well, Salming is battling with ALS, and with his health declining, they did not know if he would be able to travel for the festivities.
Thankfully, after a visit with doctors, Salming was told he cold travel to Toronto despite his current health status.
This is big news for the NHL as Salming is one of the best defensemen to ever play the sport. He racked up 787 points (150 G, 637 A) in 1,148 career games, with a +/- of +170.
