With that being said, I can understand why Chuck Fletcher could do it. His contract is pretty favourable (cap hit of 5.5M$ until 2024-25) for a top 6 player, and if the GM don't identify him as a solid part of the Flyers core for the next season, then trade the guy.
Darren Dreger, from TSN, said that Travis Konecny was the kind of player the Toronto Maple Leafs could look at. But beware! Jake Muzzin is out and overall, their main need is on defense, not offense, so a trade that would send the winger in Toronto is unlikely.
