Today we will honour the best Philadelphia Flyers to wear the jersey number seven, why? Cause why not, we are November seventh and we are here to bless you with the Flyers history!

Bill Barber
The finest winger in the history of the club is Bill Barber, a hall of famer, the franchise's all-time leading scorer, Bobby Clarke's left winger, a significant component of two Stanley Cup victories, a former team captain, and a vicious forechecker.
He has at least 20 goals in each of his 12 seasons with the Flyers, with 50 goals in the 1975-76 season.

He participated in six NHL midseason all-star games and was twice selected to the NHL Second Team and once to the NHL First Team.
After missing the whole 1984-85 season due to injuries, he announced his retirement in 1985.
The Flyers didn't retire Barber's number until a year after his induction into the Hall of Fame, unlike other Flyers who had their numbers retired (Ashbee, Parent, and Clarke). The Flyers' No. 7 was worn by Jay Wells, Craig Fisher, and "The Great" Brian Dobbin in the years between Barber's retirement and the club retiring his jersey number.
