Team China goaltender wasn't allowed to speak English at the Olympics

Zhou Jiaying, female goaltender for Team China at the Olympics, has been bared from speaking English during a press conference.

As you know, interpreters are there during press conference to translate whatever a player is saying for journalists who doesn't understand the language that he/she is speaking.

During this conference, the interpreter said that Jiaying "wasn't allowed to speak english" when a journalist asked the goalie to speak the language of Shakespeare.

Let's not forget that Zhou Jiaying was born in Canada. She can fluently speak English, French and Mandarin.

In the tournament, Zhou Jiaying, also known as Kimberly Newell, maintained a .945 save percentage in 4 games.
