The writing was on the wall; Steven Stamkos entered the game with 999 career NHL points and had recorded the second most points in his career against the Flyers.
In 38 career games vs Philadelphia, Stamkos had posted 51 points against the Orange and Black and secured his 1000th point with a power play assist.
The last dagger the Flyers conceded was to Sidney Crosby, of all players, who buried his 500th career goal back in February of 2022.
