The Flyers could have one of the best forward group in the league next year

The infusion of youth in the group gives hope for the years to come. However, the majority of them who are playing in the NHL right now will probably not be with the team next season.

Why? Because of Chuck Fletcher's plan. He wants a quick rebuild in order to make the playoffs next year.

At least, they are not rebuilding from nothing. The defense is the biggest construction site on the roster, but the forward group is surprisingly pretty good. And with the return of Sean Couturier, the 2022-23 Flyers' forward group could be in the top-10 of the NHL.

It implies that Couturier and Hayes come back to their "2017-20" level play, and that Chuck Fletcher signs a top-6 forward on the UFA market this summer. But overall, they are not that far from it.

When you look at Kevin Hayes, he has been a model of consistency since his return from injury this season with 15 points in 15 games. That's pretty much what the Flyers were looking for when they signed him.

Chuck Fletcher has the tools to make something very good this summer and improve the Flyers.
