The Flyers could win big by losing their games this week

The Flyers are in Washington today to face the Capitals. It's obviously going to be a tough challenge for Mike Yeo's player, but at least we'll have the possibility to see how the young players of the team behave against a playoff team.

However, the best thing for the Flyers right now is to lose. They are one point ahead of the New Jersey Devils (29th overall) in the standings with the same amount of games played. The Kraken are 30th overall with 52 points, which represents a 4-point difference with the Flyers.

The Devils will play the Kraken and the Coyotes, who are the worst team in the league, so the ideal scenario for the Flyers is for them to lose their game tonight against the Capitals and to see the Devils win one or both of their games against Arizona and Seattle.

The 31st and 32nd places are nearly impossible to reach because Montreal and Arizona are a bit too far behind. But by losing two or ideally three games this week, the Flyers could be 29th in the league which would mean that they would have nearly a 10% odd to select first at this year's draft in Montreal.

It's going to be an important week for the team.
