The Flyers drafted this ex-players son
From 2005 to 2009, Mike Knuble was on the Philadelphia Flyers roster, before their Stanley Cup run. It's interesting that Knuble and Danny Briere were also teammates on the same Flyers team.
Interestingly, Knuble's son, Cole, benefitted from his father's time with the team. Cole was drafted 103rd overall by the Philadelphia Flyers this year, after being passed over in the 2022 draft.

Cole's impressive stats make him a potential steal for the team.
He posted 30 goals and 36 assists for 66 points in 57 games in the USHL in 2022-2023, after posting 20 goals and 29 assists for 49 points in 52 games with the Fargo Force in 2021-2022, improving his game the year after being passed over.
Cole's game improved significantly, helping the Fargo Force reach the USHL Championship Series, although they lost to the Youngstown Phantoms. Briere and Flahr have a good idea of what they're getting in Knuble, who is a work in progress and will require time to develop his game and skating skills at Notre Dame.
Knuble could end up being a great value pick for the team later on down the road if he develops just right.
