The Minnesota Wild's General Manager Bill Guerin has been trying to build a team that could contend for the Stanley Cup. Unfortunately that hasn't turned out, as the Wild would once again depart early in the playoffs.

This summer Guerin has re-signed Marc Andre Fleury, and made some depth moves to make the Wild deeper signing, Brandon Braddock, Steven Fogarty, Nic Petan, and defenseman Andre Sustr, aswell Guerin traded Cam Talbot to the Ottawa Senators for Filip Gustavsson, after Talbot wasn't happy to play the backup role this season to Fleury.

Given that they're still pressed against the continued flat cap, Guerin will have to get creative to try to replace forward Kevin Fiala who was traded to the Los Angeles Kings back in June due to not having the cap space to re-sign Fiala. As of Today the Wild have $4,313,079 in available space.
The Wild are still hoping to get their super star Krill Kaprisov who's still in Russia after forging his military papers to avoid military duty by the Russian Government who are currently in war after the unsanctioned invasion of the people of Ukraine.
