The Philadelphia Flyers Just Made The Toronto Maple Leafs Call Up Wayne Simmonds
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made another roster move regarding former Flyer Wayne Simmonds, the Leafs have shipped out forward Filip Kral back to the AHL and are bringing up Wayne Simmonds once again after sending him down just three days ago. It seems as if the roster move has been made due to the fact that Konecny went after Matthews twice in the teams previous meeting. All fingers seem to add up to Simmonds being recalled due to the lack of toughness the Leafs current roster has.
It comes after an altercation between Auston Matthews against the Philadelphia Flyers. Michael Bunting and Mark Giordano had to defend the Maple Leafs superstar Matthews when he would not stand up for himself in their most recent matchup against the Flyers, when Travis Konecny attempted to engage in combat, he was jumped by the two. Simmonds, who is now more well-known for his aggressiveness than his offensive skill, might be reinserted into the lineup to give Toronto a little more bite.
