The Philadelphia Flyers lost a legend today

As a player for the Philadelphia Flyers at their inception in 1968, Lew Morrison eventually ended up on another team with Bobby Clarke, as the two had been teammates before they played for Philadelphia in Flin-Fon, where they found themselves for many years.

Before joining the Flyers, Morrison played one season with the AHL affiliate of the Flyers, the Quebec Aces.

The two of them formed a dominating PK-unit in Philadelphia during the 1970's and he would go on to be drafted by other expansion teams in Atlanta and Washington during the course of his career.
In a sad turn of events, Lew Morrison passed away today, according to NHL Insider Bill Meltzer, who broke the news.
