Honestly, it had to happen at one point.

The Vegas Golden Knights are screwed. First, they have an enormous amount of players on their Injury Reserve. Max Pacioretty, Robin Lehner, Reilly Smith, Brayden McNabb are all on the list. Alec Martinez and Mark Stone are on Long-Term Injury Reserve.
Add to that two players that are in COVID protocol, and you have a recipe for disaster.
Must read on FlyersInsider
Stone and Martinez still need to be activated from Injury Reserve but it's impossible because the Golden Knights only have $405,833 remaining in their LTIR pool. That's why they traded Evgenii Dadonov to the Ducks in exchange of Ryan Kesler's contract.
That could've saved them, but the trade has been invalidated by the NHL because Dadonov have the Ducks on his No Trade List.
The Golden Knights already announced that Dadonov will play tomorrow's game.
But, what's the plan, now? Well, the Golden Knights are in a miserable position. They are fighting for their lives to make the playoffs, but can't bring back some of their most important players because of cap problems.
