With the Philadelphia Flyers' season nearing to an end, we're certainly going to get multiple answers about what went wrong this year. One of the most enigmatic things was the health of defenseman Ryan Ellis.
He was brought in to give the Flyers the stability they needed on the first pair. However, nothing went as anticipated as the defenseman played only five games because of injuries.
Reminder : Ellis didn't play a game since November 13th against the Dallas Stars...
There has been reports lately about him leaning toward surgery for his lower-body injury. But one of the most important information was that he hasn't been seen with the team in the last month (three weeks at the time).

Some people in the organization are even asking themselves if Ellis really wants to be a part of the team...
Regarding the surgery, it would be voluntary for lack of better terms, according to NHLRumorsDaily on Twitter.
The relation between Ellis and the team seems to be at an all-time low. Will Ellis be a Flyer next season?
