Today, the first big trade before the deadline occurred between the Montreal Canadiens and the Calgary Flames. Tyler Toffoli, who scored 28 goals last year, was traded for a couple of picks (including a first rounder), a good prospect and a roster player.

And it will go upwards in terms of trades. There's a little bit more than 1 month left until the trade deadline.
Of course, the Flyers will be a big player heading into March 21st. A lot of their players will interest contending teams, including All-Star MVP Claude Giroux.
And the Predators could be in the mix to make a trade with the Flyers. The two teams have a history in the trade category.

Last night, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms played against the Hershey Bears, and one very important member of the Predators' front office was at the game.
Scott Nichol, one of the assistant GM of the Predators and GM of the Milwaukee Admirals, scouted the game. Obviously, he was maybe there to evaluate some players on the Hershey Bears, but according to Tony Androckitis, we have to keep an eye on Nashville. They are very active at the moment.
Let's remember that last summer, the Flyers acquired Ryan Ellis from the Predators so the two sides are not afraid to make big trades with each other.
Let's what happens in the next weeks!
