Due to a contentious issue that broke the internet this season, Boston Bruins radio announcer Jack Edward's career has trended more than ever. Edwards, who is already known for his contradictory remarks on air, dropped another one against former Stanley Cup Champion Patrick Maroon.

Maroon is listed at 238 pounds. That was Day 1 of training camp. I've got a feeling he's had a few more pizzas between then and now. Fasting. Inadvertent fasting for Pat Maroon is like four hours without a meal. But hey, [he's won] three [Stanley Cups] in a row! Who can argue with his formula?
About a week after the comments, Edwards issued an apology, but it was probably only as a result of the viral videothat a fan postedin which he spoke those harsh words which lead toseveral players expressing their outrage.

Tonight's match between the Bruins and Lightning will be their first since the incident, so Jack Edwards used the chance to visit the locker room of the Tampa Bay Lightning to make amends to Patrick Maroon. However, things didn't appear to go as Edwards had hoped.
First meeting between Bruins and #GoBolts since December and the comments made by Jack Edwards about Pat Maroon, Edwards went to Maroon to offer an apology.

It's not exactly going well for Edwards.

As this was a private conversation, even in a public setting, it's not my place to share exactly what was said unless either party wishes to reveal, but I will say it's evident Maroon is still displeased with the situation.
You can't really blame Maroon for being upset in this instance, but Edwards' apology was only made public because of social media, and Edwards has a history of making unpleasant statements that were quickly forgotten.
