Things got ugly between the Jets and the Wild

After a heated game between Minnesota and Winnipeg which resulted in a 2-0 win for the home team, things got very intense between Wild's Foligno and Jet's Lowry.

Both forwards were originally involved in a first fight when Dillon hit Foligno on an open-ice clash, with Jordan Greenway immediately backing his teammate. This fight which took place in the middle of the first period was only a taste of things to come.
During the third period, Marcus Foligno starts fighting Adam Lowry but when the two fell on the ice, the Wild's forward kneed Lowry in the head multiple times. The Wild's number 17 who's currently doing a decent season with 27 points in 40 games said that it was never his intention to knee his opponent:

«I saw them complaining maybe I got my leg in there or something, but that was just me kind of ticked-off and trying to get at him. There was no intent to, you know, not throw with your fist or use another body part in there» and claims it was only in the «heat of the moment.»
Foligno got suspended an additional 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct and the two teams combined a total of 40 penalty minutes, which reflect well the course of a heated night between the two Central Division rivals.
