This Flyers player could be considered as candidate for captaincy (and it's surprising)

With the probable departure of Claude Giroux, it means that the Flyers will be without a captain in less than a month. And of course, talks surrounding the next captain will pick up after that.
Sean Couturier and Scott Laughton seem to be the two players that are the favourites to have a "C" on their jersey next season. But there is other options out there, even though they are less probable...
Anthony SanFilippo said that Cam Atkinson is really liked in the locker room and he could have at least an "A" next year. Yeah, it's improbable that he will be named the next captain of the team, as Hayes, Laughton and Couturier are candidates that will have a legit chance to become captain.
But let's keep an eye on Cam Atkinson...
"From what I'm told, Atkinson is really liked in the locker room and while Sean Couturier remains the favorite to replace Claude Giroux as captain of the Flyers, Atkinson is likely garnering support to at least be a guy who wears a letter on his sweater moving forward," said SanFilippo.
