This Flyers prospect just had the craziest 48-hour sequence

Fresh off getting the second NHL start of his career Wednesday against the New York Rangers, the Flyers have announced that goaltender Tanner Laczynski and Felix Sandstrom were sent back to the AHL Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

On Twitter they said,

"Transactions: We have loaned forward Tanner Laczynski and goaltender Felix Sandstrom back to the @LVPhantoms (AHL)."

Sandstrom is expected to make the start in the AHL tonight versus the Bridgeport Islanders and is also expected to back up Martin Jones tomorrow night against the Sabres. What a crazy 48-hour schedule for the Swede.

Plans for Tanner Laczynski haven't yet been announced. He is not expected to make his way back to Philly this week.

With a month left in the season, it 's entirely possible that the team and Sandstrom will be in close contact on where and when he plays. Carter Hart's season should be over, considering the Flyers aren't in a playoff spot. Why play Jones when Sandstrom can get massive games and experience?

With Ivan Fedotov expected in North America next season, the fight to be Hart's backup may very well be on.
