The Vancouver Canucks have not exactly lit the NHL up starting this new 2022-23 season. They have lost all four of their games (one in overtime), but the pathetic thing is they blew leads in all the games.
Defensive lapses have been the issue. Turnovers have been a nightmare. According to TSN EDGE their playoffs odds are decreasing rapidly.
The Canucks penalty-kill is at a horrid rate of just 57.1 percent, 31st in the league.
That kind of thing can make general managers stress out to no end.

Boudreau's future if he can't turn his team around is unclear at this point. It's still early and the team had a players-only meeting to address their shortcomings.
He made it known that he was not pleased with his team's play thus far.
We have to hold each other accountable about what's going on right now.
He also described his team as 'mentally weak'.
Boureau signed a one-year contract extension to stay behind the bench which cost the team $2.5 million.
If the Canucks can't turn it around within a reasonable time period, expect to hear rumblings that the head coach may be gone.
It's the NHL... it's what happens when a team starts losing inexplicably. It's almost always the head coach taking the brunt of blame. Whether that's fair or not is irrelevant.
It's all about winning, and thus far the Canucks haven't figured that out.
