Kevin Hayes is one of the Philadelphia Flyers' most important assets, but there were rumors that he may have been on the move before the trade deadline. One of the teams rumored to be interested in Hayes was the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are struggling this season but have a solid core. Hayes could have fit in nicely in their top six, playing alongside his best friend Johnny Gaudreau and Patrick Laine.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Wild may also be interested in Hayes. They will be close to the salary cap for the next few seasons and will want to take advantage of rebuilding teams selling their players. The Wild have some prospects that may interest the Flyers, as well as some roster players.
Finally, the Colorado Avalanche may also be in the market for a second-line center, especially after the loss of Nazem Kadri. Hayes could fit in nicely in that role, and the Avalanche have the assets to make a move for him. Although they are considered a sleeper pick for Hayes, the Avalanche will need to find a way to stay competitive for the future if they want to maintain their status as an elite team in the NHL.
