Incase you missed the Lastest news Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Calgary Flames traded Matthew Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers for Johnathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weegar, prospect Cole Schwindt and 1st round pick.
After the trade was completed the Florida Panthers announced they have signed their newly acquired star to a 8 year $76 million dollar contract, with a $9.5 million dollar annual salary.
Tkachuk is 24 and was drafted in the first round of the 2016 draft 6th overall. In 431 games Tkachuk has 152 goals, 230 assists, with a plus 85 rating.
