Travis Konecny has won over the majority of the Flyers fanbase with his amazing play on the ice and the leadership he's taken on in the locker room. With Couturier out of the lineup, Konecny has arguably been the Flyers best skater on the ice this season. He has 52 points in 51 games and has really come into his own this season.
Konecny has been more outspoken this season both on the ice and with the media. During Saturday night's game against Vancouver, Konecny was caught on a hot mic voicing his displeasure with the referee and a Canucks player.
While this may not have been the season the Flyer's faithful had in mind when training camp began, at least they have the future of Travis Konecny to be excited for. With the new presence Konecny has brought, plus the eventual return of Sean Couturier and another year in Tortorella's system, the future is bright in Philly.
