The expectations for this Flyers team have been rather low among the fan base before the beginning of the season. Flyers management and the coaching staff kept emphasizing to everyone that this team may not win as many games as they had hoped.

This is a year of evaluation along with continuing the rebuild, which may mean selling off some prized assets that could help reshape the core.
As the season began, the Flyers surprised many with a 4-2-1 start in seven games. However, that all came to a halt as the team fell back to earth, revealing what a rebuilding team looks like.
