It seems every year at this time some NHL General Manager's get caught up in the hype of free agency trying to land some of those free agents. Unfortunately for some of the Gm's, deals don't always work out and Gm's overpay.

Last night the Anaheim Ducks signed defenceman John Klingberg to a one-year $7,000,000 deal. Klingberg was looking for more of a Seth Jones deal, but it just wasn't there. Klingberg was also tired of waiting firing his agent 24 hours before signing with Anaheim.
There's still plenty of big name talent available including Nazem Kadri who had the best year of his career, racking up 87 points and was a huge piece of the Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup win over the Lightning. However, Kadri can never seem to get any respect still. Sportsnet's Hockey Central's John Shannon would take a shot at Kadri who's looking to get a raise from the $4,500,000 million he made last season, as well as Klingberg's new deal calling them both "overpriced" players.
