Wade Allison, a forward who won a spot on head coach John Tortorella's roster right out of training camp, figures to be one of the Philadelphia Flyers' future building blocks. Allison, 25, seemed to sustain a severe injury during Saturday's loss to the Ottawa Senators, which was unfortunate for the Flyers and Allison. After colliding with Ottawa's Jacob Bernard-Docker after a hit, Allison went to the ice, needed help getting off, and left the game.

As of yesterday's game against the Dallas Stars, there had been no update, and the only sign Allison wouldn't be playing was that he skipped the Flyers morning skate and warmups of course. Midway through the game, Charlie O'Connor of The Athletic was able to provide an update. The injury does not appear to be life-threatening, according to O'Connor, and the early forecast is that the forward won't miss much time, but anything may happen. That's fantastic news for Allison, who wants to have an impact on the Flyers of tomorrow.
