The ref show continued Thursday night in Tampa Bay as the stripes missed another obvious call that could've changed the outcome of the game. In the final minute of game, Mikhail Sergachev threw a cheap shot at Conor Garland that connected right on Garland's jaw.
Had the refs called the obvious penalty in this situation, the Canucks would've been on a powerplay down a goal and in a favorable 6 on 4 situation with the goalie pulled. The chances of tying the game would have increased exponentially, but the refs missed the call.
Sergachev should definelty face some sort of discipline for his actions in the brawl. Something needs to be done to crackdown on the missed penalties this season or things will only get worse from here.
