WATCH: Michkov notches first goal in return from illness

Flyers top prospect Matvei Michkov set Flyers' twitter on fire yesterday in his return as he netted a goal just eight minutes into his first game back. This was Michkov's first game since Dec. 1 as he has been battling pneumonia the past few weeks. Despite not scoring a goal since November, Michkov still leads Sochi in goals and is showing Flyers fans that he is everything they are dreaming of.
Michkov's goal was a beautiful one as he skated to the right circle and fired one in from his knees through the defense. The 19-year-old is a scoring machine and showed why in his first game back. In 30 games, Michkov has recorded 12 goals, 15 assists, and 27 points.
On December 21, Michkov was hinting at a return and showing off his speed and agility despite being ill from pneumonia as he posted an Instagram story of him skating around and having fun with the caption, "im back."
