We Got a Goalie Goal in the AHL!
Goalie goals are rare, but we got one yesterday, curtesy of Iowa Wild goaltender, Jesper Wallstedt.
It was a 4-2 game against the Wolves when Wallstedt saw an empty net at the other end of the ice when the puck got to his stick.
So like any goalie would, Wallstedt took a shot for the net and connected.
This is similar to a quarterback catching a touchdown pass in football.
