To say it was a disappointing season by the Philadelphia Flyers would be an understatement. The Flyers, for many years, were a team that was feared.

The Flyers ended dead last in the Metropolitan Division with a 25-46-11 record and fans wanted changes. Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher is looking to do that with the hiring of John Tortorella, as the new Head Coach will definitely bring change with the hard noised style he demands of his players.

As for the rest of the of the Coaching Positions, Flyers Insider Charlie O'Connor would share this,
Must read on FlyersInsider
"GM Fletcher said that Tortorella is still looking for his two "top assistants." Said he envisions one running the forwards and PP, the other running the defense and PK.
So my guess is that Darryl Williams will return to his "eye in the sky" role that he had before AV was fired.
Darryl Williams actually worked with John Tortorella during his one year in Vancouver as video coach, where he was again a holdover from AV's staff. I believe that familiarity is a big part of why Torts and the front office chose to keep Williams on the staff."

After the speculation by O'Connor, Fletcher would then confirm that both Darryl Williams and Kim Dillabaugh will return as assistants this season.
