We Now Know Why The Philadelphia Flyers Haven't Fired Chuck Fletcher
From the president down to the scouting staff, the Flyers are in desperate need of a major shakeup if not a teardown. In terms of making the necessary changes to make this team better, this season has certainly shown that the organization is rudderless.
This all begins at the top with president and general manager Chuck Fletcher. Fletcher himself comes from a legacy in the NHL with his father Cliff Fletcher who was well known for bringing the Stanley Cup to the Calgary Flames, rebuilding the Toronto Maple Leafs into a contender in the 90s and always having his ear to the ground in a consulting role.
Chuck Fletcher has not done what's needed to improve this team and has been a total failure. With the rumblings beginning to louden, while on the Jeff Marek podcast, The Athletic's Flyers insider Charlie O'Connor gives his opinion on what's about to happen.

O'Connor mentioned that Comcast felt that the situation would fix itself. It certainly hasn't. He felt if there was a change in the team he would go from the top down.
As far as I'm concerned, that's the case, and it will be after the season. Despite a very deep NHL draft, over seven draft choices have been withheld, and I feel ownership will not allow the current manager to run it.
There is no doubt that things are about to heat up in Philadelphia very quickly.
