Back once again for the Weekly Wrap-up of this week's hockey news from the NHL to the World Junior Championship. Some really good topics to cover so let's get into it.
Team Canada Wins the 2022 WJC
In an incredible gold medal game, team Canada defeats Team Finland in overtime to win gold in this year's World Junior Championship. Behind a huge defensive play by Team Canada's captain Mason MacTavish which turned the play around the other way for the game-winning goal. One of the best WJC gold-medal games I had ever witnessed.

Nazeem Kadri signs deal with the Calgary Flames
The door of the long-awaited signing of Stanley Cup winner Nazeem Kadri has been closed. Kadri signed a 7-year deal worth $49 million with the Calgary Flames. For a team that had lost multiple highly talented players, including young phenom
Johnny Gaudreau. Calgary may actually be better fit to make a run.
Here are the potential pairings for the 2022-2023 season for the Flames
Flyers Defenseman Ryan Ellis Could Miss Start of Season Per Coach John Tortorella, Flyers defenseman Ryan Ellis may not start the season. The defenseman played in only four games last season, none after Nov. 13, because of what the 31-year-old called a "multilayered" issue involving the "complex of the whole pelvic region."
"If you're asking me right now, I doubt it," coach John Tortorella said Monday when asked if Ellis would be ready to play.
The Flyers open the season against the New Jersey Devils on Oct. 13, but Tortorella added that he didn't think Ellis would be healthy when they open training camp on Sept. 21.
