There's going to be some big changes in Toronto, which seems a bit unfortunate. When you look at how their first round series went against the Lightning, we could probably say that the Leafs were the better team, and Game 7 showed it.

In either case, they are right there with the best teams in the NHL. They have pretty much everything. But when your organization is 0 for 9 in elimination games in their last 5 playoff appearances, changes are coming.
And how can you shake things up? By making big moves. Auston Matthews will stay. Morgan Rielly will stay. It's going to be difficult to move John Tavares' contract. But pretty much everybody else is in danger.
Could Mitch Marner or William Nylander be traded? It's going to be one of them - if Kyle Dubas wants to make a big move. If the Leafs are interested to transfer either Marner or Nylander, Chuck Fletcher will have to take his phone. He's looking to add some talent to his attack, and acquiring a guy like Nylander could fix a big part of the issue.

Nylander had 80 points this season. He added 7 points in 7 games during the playoffs. Last season, he registered 42 points in 51 games. He also was the Leafs' best player during the 2021 postseason.
At 26 years old, Nylander is in his prime, but for a strange reason, some people don't want him anymore in Toronto. If he's indeed on the market, the Flyers should do everything to get him...
