With six weeks to go before the NHL regular season begins players that are currently not signed are getting frustrated, including former first round pick from the Detroit Red Wings Evgeny Svechnickov.
Evgeny Svechnickov was a first overall pick back in 2014 taken 19th overall by the Detroit Red Wings. Svechnickov was killing it when he played back in the QMJHL for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and continued to improve when he went to the American Hockey League, playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Last year, Svechnikov played with the Winnipeg Jets, only managing to get 19 points in 72 games. Svechnikov was only making $750k, but so far this off-season Svechnikov hasn't been signed yet causing him to fire his agent.
