Young Canadian Hockey Player Passes Away At His Local Arena

Flyers Insider has some very sad news to share as the small town of Ayr Ontario is in shock after one of it's own passes away at local hockey tournament.
As the captain of the Ayr Centennials a team in The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League club in Waterloo Ontario region Eli Palfreyman passed away last night at just 20 years of age.
Eli Palfreyman who's from Cambridge Ontario was a popular player and was well liked and respected by his teammates.

Palfreyman and his Centennials team were in a tournament game last night at the North Dumfries Community Complex, according to the Twitter feed of the Township of North Dumfries.
The details to which caused the death of Palfreyman have yet to be released, however the Ayr Centennials hockey team released a statement:
«The Ayr Centennials are devastated to announce that our captain Eli Palfreyman passed away last night,» it read. «We are asking for your prayers and support for Eli's family and each of our players. Our Centennial's organization and the community of Ayr are in mourning.»
The Centennial's also said the team has «reached out to mental health and grief professionals to support our players and staff.»
It went on to say that Palfreyman «had the best of care from our medical staff and quick response from the ambulatory staff. Medical doctors will have more answers for us in the coming days.»
