Some things are just bound to happen. Players realize their worth and decide to get to the conference room and «bring home the bacon». If one player on the Flyers roster deserves a decent payday, it was the scrappy Zach MacEwen. A player I had said deserved second line minutes after proving game in and game out that he earned more playing time, and a more offensive role. A player that has that «bang» mentality and has the fighting hands to back it up most certainly should be on this roster.

Role players aren't always the highest on the score board but matter the most in being proficient in what they do best. Someone that could dig deep on a forecheck, gather a loose puck, and make a play to assist in scoring. MacEwen, mostly known for his fighting abilities, always showed that he was also a tremendous asset but working hard game in and game out. MacEwen is a player that the Flyers should consider paying, but crazier things have happened.
