Back Up Goalies the Flyers are Targeting at the Deadline

The Flyers have been looking at a few options concerning back up goalies that are currently on the trading block.

Kraken's Chris Driedger could be a possibility, the 29 year-old has currently been playing in the AHL since Grubauer and Daccord have been their main two. However, Driedger does have a lot of NHL experience and has proven that he can be a back up in the NHL. Driedger has a 16-6-4 with a 2.25 goals against average and .917 save percentage this season in the AHL.

Kaapo Kahkonen of the San Jose Sharks seems to be another option that could help the Flyers with goaltending. Kahkonen has a 6-20-2 with a 3.70 GAA and .897 SV% this season but is currently on one of the worst teams in the NHL. He has had success in the league as a back up in the last few seasons with the Wild.

Another current AHL goalie that could really help is Louis Domingue who is currently under contract with the rival Rangers. Although it is unlikely the Rangers are willing to help the Flyers, it seems as though the Flyers could be interested in Domingue. He has proven he can play in the NHL and has had an impressive season in the AHL with a 13-7-4 record, 2.65 GAA and .910 SV%.

The last option which is unlikely would be the Hurricanes Antti Raanta
or Spencer Martin. Both goalies would be great options for the Flyers but with Anderson still out and the Hurricanes possibly taking on the Flyers in the first round, it is unlikely they agree to a trade that could benefit their rivals.

With only 2 days left, the Flyers have multiple options to help them in nets, it all comes down to what can Daniel Brière do to make it happen.
